2023 Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment Registration Dates

Registration will be open on JUNE  1st 2023 and will close on AUGUST 4, 2023 at 11:59pm.

☆☆☆

No exceptions will be made after the closure of the Primary Recruitment registration period. If a PNM has not registered for Recruitment by 11:59pm on the last day of Recruitment registration (August 4th, 2023), she will be unable to participate in the Primary Recruitment process. Absolutely no extensions will be granted to this registration period.

☆☆☆

When you register you will create a personal account. Please write down and save your username and password information for your personal records. You will also need this account information to make your selections after rounds of Recruitment. Registration takes about 20-30 minutes to complete.

☆☆☆

One of our chapters, Alpha Epsilon Phi (AEPhi), does not participate in primary recruitment. The chapter hosts an independent, informal recruitment that takes place the week after formal recruitment. They wish you the best of luck with formal recruitment, but in the event that you don't find your home and choose to leave before receiving a bid from another sorority, you can register for their recruitment using this link. Please email aggiephirecruitment@gmail.com if you have any questions.

*Remember, AEPhi's recruitment is not the same registration process as Primary Recruitment. If you have any questions either reach out to the Panhellenic Vice President of Recruitment at tamurecruitment@gmail.com or AEPhi at aggiephirecruitment@gmail.com.

Blinn Team students may participate in Recruitment.

Must have never been initiated into full membership of a Panhellenic sorority at Texas A&M University or any other campus.

Must be able to attend all Recruitment events, including Convocation.

*If you have a university excused scheduling conflict with any Recruitment events, please contact the Panhellenic VP of Recruitment at tamurecruitment@gmail.com immediately. Please note that we will do our best to accommodate excused absences. However, make up opportunities may not be offered.

Is there a grade requirement to go through Recruitment?

Academics are very important for all of our Panhellenic sororities. While there is not academic cutoff for Recruitment, it is highly recommended that women going through Primary Recruitment have a high school GPA of no less than 2.75, and a college GPA of no less than 2.50 (for upperclassmen).

If your GPA is lower than these numbers, you can expect to receive significantly fewer invitations than women with higher GPAs. Some grade exemptions may be granted, but not many. Each sorority has its own academic cut-off established, and will vary for each chapter.

Registration Fee for 2023 Primary Recruitment

☆☆☆

June 1 - August 4: $200
and
Potential New Member Orientation (PNMO): PNMs will complete modules online prior to the start of recruitment. More information will be sent to you after you register and have submitted all required information.

The Recruitment Registration Fee covers several costs during the span of the Recruitment week. Recruitment registrations will not be processed until the registration fee is received. No registration refunds will be given.

Legacies

☆☆☆

A legacy is a potential new member who is the sister, daughter, or granddaughter of an alumnae sorority member. Being a legacy does NOT guarantee membership into a sorority. Legacy status can be indicated when registering online. Please have the alumnae member send a legacy introduction form and letter of recommendation directly to her sorority, as sororities will need to verify the information you list. Below is what each chapter considers a legacy.

Alpha Chi Omega: sister, mother, grandmother

Alpha Delta Pi: sister, mother, grandmother

Alpha Epsilon Phi: sister, step-sister, mother, step-mother, grandmother, step-grandmother

PNM Orientation

☆☆☆

The online Potential New Member Orientation (PNMO) is REQUIRED for all students who plan to register for Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment.

After you register for Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment, you must complete an online Recruitment education program referred to as Potential New Member Orientation (PNMO). PNMO strives to make the process of joining a sorority easier to understand so that all Potential New Members (PNMs) know what to expect from the recruitment process. PNMO is a self-paced educational tool that serves as a continuing resource for PNMs throughout the Recruitment process and provides consistent education to all PNMs.

On Campus Housing

☆☆☆

We are working with the Department of Residence Life to ensure virtual events do not interfere with move-in times. Students participating in Panhellenic Recruitment are able to move in early on the evening of August 16th.  When you register, you will indicate that you are living on campus and Panhellenic will submit a list of students to Residence Life. Please note that for early move-in on campus, there will be an additional fee of $50.

The in-person components of the Recruitment Process will begin the morning of August 17, 2023.

Callaway Apartments:     PNMs can move in early, but they will have to pay a $100 fee. The PNM must schedule their move-in through Callaway Apartments prior to the beginning of recruitment.

If you know you will have a conflict, please reach out to VP of Recruitment tamurecruitment@gmail.com.

If you are living off campus and have a conflict with your move-in time,  we ask you to fill out the conflict form you will receive in your confirmation email upon registration.
